***Please put individual key requests in the format “GROUP – SIZE – COLOR – KEY” (example:  Novelties – 1U – Pebble – Buckling Spring Logo Key).  Please put the keys you want in the notes text box on this page, not in the order notes on the checkout page.  Please group keys of the same color and separate each item with a comma or semicolon (no need to add each key to the cart one at a time!).  For Icons keys, please refer to the row and number of the key as indicated below.  Keys from this page are offered on a “best efforts” basis:  if your key is not properly noted or not available, you agree to accept my best guess or a substitute for the key you want, without any adjustments or refunds.  For example, if you request a key in pearl that is not available in pearl, you agree that you may receive the key in pebble.

Only the below options are available – no other custom legends.  Each key is $3 or 1 unit of this product, whether it’s a 1U size key or the larger size keys, or even a space bar!  The exception is any 1.75U key (printed or unprinted) which requires selecting 1.75U in the drop down menu.  ISO Enter keys, Unicomp Win 95 and 8 keys, Unicomp G, H, B trackpoint keys, and Unicomp Red Esc keys also require the 1.75U $7 selection even though they are not 1.75U (they are an exception).

You can buy each key individually, with the exception of the following keys only sold as part of the full set:  Industrial SSK 12 key legends, Apple/Mac, Front Printed F Row, F13-F24, Mac, and the Right Side Block key sets.  As a note key legends are not finalized and are subject to change.  The HHKB set legend is Ctrl and not spelled out Control, though you can purchase an extra 1.75U control key (no substitutions are allowed though).  The Mac sets can be purchased from the Apple/Mac product page linked below; you cannot order these keys for $3 each.  Keys from the full international key sets and front printed F1-F12 sets cannot be ordered individually, though the international front printed extras keys can be ordered individually.

Important terms and conditions:  Just about every key is available in every color except black which does not offer any printed keys, and except for pearl modifiers, which are not offered (also many pebble keys are not available in pearl and vice versa; if you order a key in pearl that is not available or if you specify All Pearl or All Pebble, you agree to receive a pebble key or a key in the normal color instead of your requested color).  For pearl/pebble key sets they come as pictured; you can’t change some keys to pebble and others to pearl for example; however your key may come in pearl or pebble if you request pearl/pebble, based on current stock availability (you are not guaranteed to receive the color that is pictured below).  Other examples of keys not available in All Pearl or All Pebble are full key sets, F13-F24, and other sets with many keys; if you specify All one color you agree to receive the default colors.  Some key sets are offered only in All Pearl or All Pebble (examples:  media keys and Novelties); if you pick Pearl/Pebble you agree to receive the set in all pearl or all pebble, my choice based on available stock.  Another example, Mopar Blue is only available in blue and dark gray.  In other words, by ordering from this page you are not guaranteed to receive keys in a requested color that is different from the stocked color options; your keys may differ in color from the colors and legends pictured.  Your key request must match the size in the images below.  I cannot provide a key in a different size.

Not listed below but also available are the following keys from Unicomp:  Unprinted only Red Green Blue 6 key set (both shift, ctrl, and alt keys; 3 left), G/H/B trackpoint keys (sent to the factory for the new XT quality sublimation), unprinted 1U keys in green (5 left) and light purple (5 left), and also red/yellow/orange (only 1 available for each of these 3 colors), 1U printed Esc red key (red Esc requires ordering the $7 keycap option), Win 95 (only in pebble), Win 8 (only in pebble), Unicomp front printed F1-F12 (QTY 1), 2.75U dark blue right shift unprinted (darker than the project’s Industrial SSK Blue), 1.5U pebble key “Backspace” and “Caps Lock” (1 of each left), stepped 1.75U printed or unprinted caps lock (printing only available with “Caps Lock” text printing and 1 left with the lock icon only).

Also available:  DVORAK 4 key set: F and J (no nub) and U and H (with nub); COLEMAK 4 key set: F and J (no nub) and T and N (with nub).  Note you are buying just 4 keys with each of these options, not a full key set.

Scumnc/scumyc: 1.75 Ctrl, 1.5 Caps Lock, 1.25 Win/Fn/Alt. The smaller space bar is not included in this set but is available for the regular $3 individual keys option.

Please note the color you’d like and the name and size of each key (you can of course order unprinted keys of these colors, in any available key size):

The shorter space bar is available and there’s a pad in everyone’s keyboard to allow for an extra key to the right of the space bar, like on some modern keyboards.  I sell the shorter space bars – they’re the same price as any other key – just order quantity 1 on this store page and note “shorter space bar in pearl color.”  It’s a tight fit with a 1.5U key; you could use a 1.25U key instead but there would be a 1-2mm gap between space bar and the new key.

Right side block choices 1 and 2 are both included if you order a full 104 key set.  Also available is right side block 6 (just the numbers on the keys; not pictured in the right side block options but instead pictured in another rendering below).  To order the other right side block options for your keyboard, select the option you want in the above list.  The number pad / right side block keys are available as shown below (they are not available specific to any international set).  The image immediately below shows potential right side block configurations; you do not receive 15 keys in each right side block necessarily, since some are already included in your main key set.  See the right side blocks several images down the page to see which additional keys are included in each set.

I came across some old files describing some of the IBM Key legends and key descriptions for the key functions on their keyboards – hope it might be of interest. I had no idea what many of these keys actually did on the old terminals!
