How did you get the paint job right? I’m looking to restore an old ibm case for use with a modern rig. Is there anyway you could give me pointers on the process?
It is a custom texture done by the factory by examining an original example.
Is there any way you could point me in the right direction for the texture achieved? I can find a close enough in terms of color I think, but powder coats seem to vary a lot interns of texture so if there is some sort of designation for the effect that would be helpful. Thank you for your help! Cheers!
That is a cool idea! Those XT cases have a great look.
The keyboards were powdercoated with the paint custom mixed to an original IBM sample I mailed the factory. There are no standard Pantone/RAL swatches close to the correct color. It definitely cost more than finding another IBM PC case off craigslist.
