Yes it is definitely worth the upgrade! It’s difficult to imagine something better than the Model M, unless you’ve tried a Model F in person!
The sound of the best keyboard ever is so musical when typing, thanks to the pounds and pounds of steel plates resonating with each other as keys are pressed. Once you type on the Model F a little bit you will notice what’s missing from the Model M. Also the build quality is much higher with a Model F. The Model M was an exercise in cost cutting the Model F and removing two-thirds of the cost. Lots of metal was replaced with plastic.
